We prioritise the physical and psychological wellbeing of every animal in our care and for our possums, gliders and flying fox residents, climbing structures play a vital role in their rehabilitation journey. These are naturally arboreal creatures, instinctively drawn to life in the treetops. By providing purpose-built climbing features such as branches, ropes, and elevated platforms within their enclosures, we allow them to express these innate behaviours in a safe, supportive environment.
These structures offer far more than just activity, they promote essential exercise, improve coordination, and help injured or orphaned animals rebuild their strength and confidence. Crucially, for those being prepared for release into the wild, these climbing opportunities simulate the complexity of their natural habitat, ensuring they are physically and mentally equipped to thrive independently.
